Gin basics



 

Gin is a worldwide-loved liquor that has a rich history dating back centuries. It originated in the 17th century in the Netherlands, where it was initially used for medicinal purposes. Other popular types include Plymouth Gin, Genever (a Dutch-style gin), and New Western-style gins that experiment with unique botanical combinations. Each type offers a different experience, allowing gin enthusiasts to explore a diverse range of flavors and find their preferred style. 

There are lots of cocktails that can be made with gin, such as the classic Martini, Negroni, and Gin and Tonic. These cocktails showcase the versatility of gin and can be customized to suit individual preferences. Additionally, gin is also a popular ingredient in many fruity and refreshing summer cocktails, like the Bramble or the French 75. With such a wide variety of cocktails to choose from, there is something for everyone to enjoy when it comes to gin-based drinks.
